Eddy Current Testing (ECT) for Tubes

Tubular eddy current testing (ECT) is a great way to inspect tubing on

  • Condensers
  • Heat Exchangers
  • Feedwater Heaters
  • Commercial Air condition units
  • Commercial Storage Refrigerators/Freezers units

Eddy Current Testing (ECT) on heat exchanger

Eddy current testing is ideal for non-ferromagnetic tubing. It is important to inspect tubing for corrosion, erosion, pitting, cracking, and general wear that can occur on the inside or outside of the tubing over time. Our technicians are certified professionals that will perform high quality work. They can detect and size indications on the inside or outside of the tubing, recommend inspection intervals based on wear patterns, recommend tube plugging that will all lead to less down time and improved efficiency.

At 5 Star Testing, we use the Olympus MS5800 tube inspection system. This advanced system allows for multiple channel inspection, which provides a higher quality and greater coverage compared to a single channel inspection.
